Courses for MCA/ BCA/ B.Sc-IT students
Aptech offers advanced, intensive courses for B.Sc-IT, BCA/ MCA students. These are taught by faculty who are especially trained to teach the latest versions of the software. Adequate time is given for lab sessions & to complete class projects.
5 types of courses specially created for B.Sc-IT, BCA/ MCA students are offered. Apart from these, Aptech also offers certification & short-term courses covering various technologies.
5 types of courses for IT students
1. ACTS Career course
(Of 8-16 months’ duration)
Aptech Certified Technology Specialist (ACTS) is for B.Sc-IT & BCA/ MCA students. The course trains them in the latest versions of .NET & Java technologies.
Classes are held 3 or 5 times a week & consist of 2-hour theory & lab sessions held alternately.
2. Foundation course in IT
The Foundation course in IT is the first step for anyone wishing to make a career in IT. It teaches Programming skills & lays the foundation for working with .NET, Java & other advanced technologies in the future.
The course can be completed part-time along with your B.Sc-IT & BCA/ MCA course.
It is a 5-month (142 hours) course which covers the basics of programming along with C, C++ and C#.
Classes are held 3 or 5 times a week & consist of 2-hour theory & lab sessions held alternately.
3. .NET Foundation course
The .NET Foundation course is for B.Sc-IT & BCA/ MCA students. .NET is a tool used in Desktop programming & Web Application Development.
It is a 6-month (248 hours) course which covers the latest version of Microsoft .NET technology.
The course covers XML, RDBMS & Data management, SQL Server, C#, Windows Forms Programming with C#, basics of ASP.NET, Database handling in ASP.NET, Software Engineering Principles & more.
It can be completed part-time along with your IT degree/ diploma course.
Classes are held 3 or 5 times a week & consist of 2-hour theory & lab sessions held alternately.
4. Java Foundation course
The Java Foundation course is for B.Sc-IT & BCA/ MCA students. Java is both, a programming language & a platform with a wide range of applications in IT, banking, telecom, entertainment, aviation & more!
It is a 6-month (248 hours) course which covers the latest version of Sun Java technology.
The course covers XML, RDBMS, Data Management, Distributed Computing, Security, Web Programming, Web Applications, Software Engineering Principles & more.
It can be completed part-time along with your IT degree/ diploma course.
Classes are held 3 or 5 times a week & consist of 2-hour theory & lab sessions held alternately.
5. College projects’ guidance
Aptech guides B.Sc-IT, BCA/ MCA & other IT students in completing their college projects. These projects are treated as Aptech courses.
To successfully understand & complete a project, students require:
- Knowledge of the software & its applications
- Real-time experience of using the software
- Step-by-step guidance from a ‘Project Guide’
- Evaluation of the project before it is submitted to the college/ university for marking & grading
Aptech provides hands-on training & guidance for projects in:
- C
- C++
- Java
- .NET
Each project-based course is of 40 hours’ duration & covers Desktop Applications of that software.
On completing the project, students submit it for evaluation by Aptech’s expert faculty. If successful, the student is awarded a ‘Certificate of Participation’ from Aptech.
Later, the same project can be submitted by the student to his college/ university as part of his B.Sc-IT, BCA/ MCA program.
Aptech also offers Sun Java, Oracle or Red Hat Linux certification courses.
